Convert DBS Bank Statement to Excel

A DBS eStatement is a CONSOLIDATED STATEMENT: an ACCOUNT SUMMARY groups your holdings by currency with S$ equivalents, followed by ACCOUNT DETAILS sections for each individual account. Every section uses Date, Description, Withdrawal, Deposit and Balance columns, opens with a Balance Brought Forward row and closes with Balance Carried Forward. Retyping this into a spreadsheet is slow and error-prone: transaction dates carry no year (just ‘30 Apr’), descriptions wrap across several lines, and newer statements switch to Debit and Credit headers with grey striped rows. SheetMyBank recognises each account section separately, stitches wrapped description lines back into a single cell, infers the year from the statement period, and outputs one tidy Excel table per account.

To download the PDF, open the DBS digibank app and go to More → eDocuments → eStatement, filter by document type and year, then tap the arrow beside a statement. On desktop, log in to digibank online and choose Home → eDocuments → Show All. DBS keeps eStatements for seven years counted from when you enrolled in eDocuments, so grab older months while they are still there. SheetMyBank runs entirely inside your browser — the PDF never touches a server — and after extraction it recomputes the running balance line by line, flagging any row where the maths breaks.

DBS statement FAQ

My DBS statement covers several accounts. Which one gets converted?

All of them. Each ACCOUNT DETAILS section is detected and exported as its own table, so your SGD account and any foreign-currency accounts stay cleanly separated instead of being mashed into one list.

DBS prints dates like ‘30 Apr’ with no year. How does the export know the year?

The statement period printed on the document supplies it. SheetMyBank applies that year to every transaction, so exported dates are full, sortable dates rather than ambiguous day-month fragments.

Can I avoid the S$20–50 fee DBS charges for reissuing old paper statements?

Usually, yes. If the month you need falls within your seven-year eDocuments window, download the PDF free from digibank and convert it yourself instead of ordering a duplicate at the branch.
